I would be backpacking. Cheap hostels, no expensive foods, and so on. Bare minimum for travelling in such places.
I mean 00 CDN AFTER the cost of flights. I would most likely start with ,000 to ,000 before flights.

And I have more questionn, which is better I trevel with my car ( just simple sedan), or Amtreck?
I wannna trevel as many state as passible, but dont want to hurry like crazy , as I don’t like just arrive and move again.
I plan to travel 50days.
Is it better go alone or with a friend?
- Thinking of doing some traveling.
- Would like to see more than one country/continent.
I am going to travel across europe for a little over two months. To go "backpacking" do you have to have an actual bag that you wear on your back, or does a suitcase and daybag suffice. OR do I realy need something that can fit everything on my back?
What are some GOOD backpacks that maybe you have used, or know of others using?
And why….
I’m planning to backpack through Europe in the spring and i just had a nightmare i didn’t think of this. I’m gonna get the railpass to get to city to city but then how do i trvel once i’m within that city? Should i budget more for cabs and stuff? Are enough things within walking distance? Or do most cities have a cheap intra city rail system? Or possibly should be pool our rail money together and buy a cheap car?
I am traveling for about 1.5 months from Mexico, then to Australia and finally in Fiji. I was wondering if someone experienced with prolonged travel could tell me if I should use a cargo style large bag or if a Kelty/ North Face, large style backpack would do the trick. I won’t be doing anything majorly strenuous but there will be camping involved and as I said, I will be away for about 1.5 months. Thanks.
I’ll have a laptop. Not against doing something online. I’d be open to any suggestions to make a little cash while backpacking around the world – as long as it isn’t bar work or a 9-5 jobs… because it kind of ruins the whole point of backpacking around the world if I’m stuck in an office or a cafe.
Please help – and steer me in the right direction.
This is the first questions I’ve asked, and it’s because I’m stumped.
Yeah, I’m Australian. I wouldn’t be against getting a working visa, but then longer term it won’t be as much of an issue as ideally I’ll be moving to another country/continent before my visa expires.
Please keep the answers coming, they are teriffic!
Hi there,
I will be doing quite a bit of traveling between US and Canada by air, and international flights out of the US.
I understand that backpack style laptop bags were banned earlier this year as a carry-on item. I am wonder has this changed? Thank you very much.
I would like to know in terms of clothing how much fits into a 5200 cubic liter sized backpack. Think light clothes like tee shirts and shorts, plus underclothing. How many of each fit based on your experiences? I’m looking to use the pack as luggage and will only need to wear it for travel to and from the airport and to and from the hotel (on a bus/walking several blocks). I’m going for 10 days but was thinking of bringing enough for a week and am completely clueless when it comes to backpack sizes. Thanks!!
If I am travelling by foot, like backpacking in open terrain or the woods, what are my chances of being struck by lightning in a rain storm with thunder and lighting?
Additionally, if I were travelling by car?
I’m having a hard time finding good Europe travel books. I backpack and stay in hostels, and most books seem to be about fine dining and hotels, and generally geared for someone NOT on a college student budget.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks!
im going to budapest hungary in may for my cousins wedding and we plan to go to other places around europe so whats the cheapest way to travel around without backpacking?

I am going to Spain for three months to live with a host family and teach english as a second language. Then, I am going backpacking through Morocco, the UK, Europe, and Israel for 7 months. This is my college gap year. I am wanting to start a travel blog though – how do you really make a blog stand out? Anyone have any cool ideas? Or a blog site they recommend? I am thinking about making one with wordpress.
Thanks!
I have spent the majority of my life backpacking the world. If I had the money I would travel the rest of my life or working doing humanitarian work.
My friend and I are backpacking, and we want to optimize our travel experience by going to as many places as possible for as little as possible. Any cheap trains or buses maybe?

Traveling through Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, and Italy. two weeks. and using Eurorail and possibly renting a car for some of the trip through Switzerland. Any ideas on traveltips, what to do, what not to do, where to go, what we have to see, what we don’t have to see.
